A Mexican-inspired take-out and grocery store that found success inside the Hamilton Farmer’s Market announced this week that its new brick-and-mortar location is officially open.

Latin Food And Products at 91 James St. North is a specialty grocery store that offers many food and drink products that can’t be found in most shops. It also carries its own packaged food.

“At Latin Foods, our main goal has always been to bring authentic Mexican food to the great city of Hamilton,” a post on Instagram reads.

The shop’s grand opening has been delayed due to the pandemic, supply chain issues, and a scary incident that involved a vehicle striking Latin Food And Products’ new storefront.

“It has been a long process trying to open this location due to COVID-19 and numerous delays, nonetheless, we thoroughly enjoyed getting this place ready,” the company posted on its official Instagram account. “As some of you may know, a car struck our storefront a few weeks ago and it’s still being fixed. This bummed us out because it’s not how we envisioned our store opening but things happen and you got to roll with the punches.”

“We can’t wait to see all of you and stay tuned for our other exciting projects coming in the near future – muchas gracias,” the post added.

Latin Food And Products is known for its tasty tacos, fresh tortillas, and homemade dishes that can also be ordered online for delivery or pick-up.

While its original location is limited to the operational hours of the Farmer’s Market, its new store is open seven days a week.
