Popular interactive arcade opening location in Mississauga

If you’re into fun interactive gaming, a well-known arcade chain is opening a new spot in Mississauga.
Activate —a gaming facility that offers an immersive experience to its players is coming soon to Heartland Town Centre, located at 6045 Mavis Rd.
According to Activate’s main website, visitors can participate in various activities such as jumping, climbing, and solving puzzles. These games span many different levels of difficulty, allowing guests to face a range of challenges as they navigate through the experience.
Additionally, the company says the light-up game rooms are designed to test your physical and mental agility.
Some of the gaming experiences Activate offers are:
- Arena —Digital dodgeball where your team aims to hit glowing hexagon targets on the wall.
- Climb —Indoor rock climbing where buttons act as rock holds with each level increasing in difficulty.
- Grid—Participates play in an intense game similar to “The Floor Is Lava.” Teams navigate through a room with glowing tiles, aiming to complete each level by moving strategically.
- Hoops—A is a twist on traditional basketball in which players aim to score points on backboards that change colour.
- Laser —Players must move carefully back and forth to a safe zone, avoiding and weaving through lasers that change patterns.
- Trench—This is a version of laser tag that doesn’t require wearing vests or aiming at other players. Instead, it combines a laser maze players move through with glowing targets and beam blasters.
- Hide—In this version of hide-and-seek, teams move throughout the room to finish sequences. They must be cautious of four glowing eyes that track their movements and are ready to catch any mistakes.
For a better gaming experience, players are asked to form a team of 2-5 players. If the group is larger than 5, it is suggested to either split and rotate teams or merge into smaller groups for the duration of the play.

Guests are recommended to book online ahead of time for guaranteed play. While walk-ins are accepted, they are dependent on availability.
The cost is $28 plus tax per person from Monday to Sunday.
The grand opening of Activate at Heartland Town Centre has not been announced. However, if you are eager to gather your family and friends before then and have some fun, here are some alternate locations:
25 Peel Centre Dr, Unit 1 in Brampton and 2030 Appleby Line in Burlington.
