A popular restaurant chain known for serving a wide array of beloved Indian dishes and desserts is opening a brand new location in Mississauga in the not-too-distant future.

Brar’s, a chain established in 1985 that operates locations in Brampton and Vaughan, recently took to social media to announce it will be opening its doors in the city’s Erin Mills neighbourhood.

The new resto, which will be 100 per cent vegetarian, is taking shape at 3910 Eglinton Ave. W.

The brand, which offers dine-in, takeout, catering and buffet services, boasts an extensive menu with street snacks (samosas, paneers, stuffed peppers and more), side dishes (chat papri, pakoras, spring rolls, pani puri and more), entrees (pav bhaji, vegetable biryani, masala dosas with sambar, Delhi kulcha chana and more), thali, curries, naan, rice dishes and other items.

The restaurant also boasts a dessert menu that features chilled rasmalai (a cottage cheese sponge cake soaked in cardamom-flavoured milk), warm gulab jamun, kulfi faluda (an Indian-style homemade ice cream dish), a hot chocolate brownie with ice cream and more.

Diners can also sample an array of drinks, including specialty drinks (think milkshakes, lassis and faloodas), coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.
