Are you trying to decide between renovating your Mississauga (or Toronto, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Milton or Halton Hills) home or selling it?

If so, you might be a good candidate for a popular HGTV reality show.

Love it or List it, a show that allows homeowners to decide between a freshly renovated house or a new home entirely, recently announced that it’s casting in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

As for how the show works, each hour-long episode features realtor David Visentin and designer Hilary Farr competing for the homeowners’ final decision to stay in their rejuvenated home or move to a new place altogether.

“David’s insider perspective on the real estate market helps target listings to prospective buyers, but Hilary is determined to show homeowners that, within their budget, she can transform their worn-out house into a castle they can love,” the show’s website reads.

If the owners decide to list it, the new design helps up the home’s resale value.

If you want to get on the show, you need to currently own a home in Toronto or the GTA and require expert design and construction help. You will also need a minimum renovation and design budget of at least $75,000 and be willing to move out of your house for the duration of the renovation/shoot.

The site also asks that applicants be “outgoing, fun enthusiastic homeowners” who are available to be on camera for up to seven weekdays of filming, staggered over six to eight weeks.
