Popular Hamilton playground to be closed for renovation

Hamilton’s Freelton Community park and playground, located at 170 Freelton Road will be closed starting tomorrow (July 20).
This temporary closure will facilitate the removal and reconstruction of existing play equipment, according to the City of Hamilton.
The decision comes as part of an essential upgrade initiative to enhance the park’s recreational facilities for the community.
During this period, all existing play equipment will be removed and replaced with new structures that adhere to the city’s safety standards.
While the playground is under renovation, all other park assets, including walking trails, will remain fully accessible to the public.
The closure will be in place until September 1.
