Halton Hills Public Library’s (HHPL) popular Drag Queen Storytime event is returning to the Georgetown branch this summer.
According to the HHPL, the program is an opportunity to promote inclusion and diversity while adding traditional elements of professional performances.
It is also a chance to offer 2SLGBTQ+ positive family programming that helps to create understanding and appreciation of gender roles and diversity.
The event will feature drag queens and child educators, Fay and Fluffy, who will be reading books to attendees at the event.
The event has run twice since 2019, one of which was virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to its popularity, the HHPL is bringing it back for an in-person event on July 9 at 10:00 a.m.
