Aroma Espresso Bar at Square One appears to have shut down permanently. A look through the window of the closed shop reveals a mess inside.

The coffee has stopped flowing at a popular espresso bar at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.

Aroma Espresso Bar, for several years a popular spot for people to grab a beverage to go on their way to the nearby bus terminal, appears to have shut down permanently.

A Google location search of the coffee spot indicates that it is “temporarily closed.”

However, a customer service representative at Square One said she believed Aroma had closed its doors for good.

Additionally, an employee of the Aroma Espresso Bar at nearby Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke said while she wasn’t sure, she believed the Square One location has been closed down permanently.

Aroma Square One’s listed phone number is connected to a mailbox that is not set up.

An online discussion thread on Reddit indicates Aroma’s Square One location has been closed for at least a couple of months now.

On Google reviews, one person commented three weeks ago: “Thanks for the excellent service all these years! Staff here was always so kind and they obviously enjoyed working together. Will miss this location dearly.”

Another fan of Aroma Square One commented four months ago that the coffee shop was “a very nice pitstop on the way out to the bus stop. A lovely corner location of Aroma at Square One.”

Aroma Espresso Bar was founded in Israel in 1994 and today has more than 200 locations worldwide, including 37 Ontario locations, mostly around the GTA.
