A popular chicken restaurant with a unique look is moving east and opening its first Mississauga location in the not-too-distant future.
Coop Wicked Chicken, a growing restaurant chain that pairs a nostalgic 80s and 90s aesthetic with such decadent menu items as deep-fried devilled eggs and fried chicken sandwiches, will soon call the Sussex Centre home.

The brand currently operates a number of locations west of the city, with restaurants scattered throughout Burlington, Hamilton and Niagara.
“Coop Wicked Chicken is where punk-rock meets rustic henhouse and where the food is always #tastyascluck,” the brand’s website reads, adding that the “nostalgia-loving restaurant” is open for lunch, dinner and “boozy weekend brunches.”
The menu features a number of chicken-based dishes, including a “hardcore” pulled chicken poutine, seared, pulled and fried chicken sandwiches, a “dirty bird” taco and more. The resto also offers salads, burgers, chicken fingers, wings, chicken and waffles and more.
Diners can also select from a range of cocktails and desserts.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
