Popular Burlington Mall location to get a shawarma has lease terminated

A popular Burlington restaurant known for its grilled chicken, shawarmas, kabobs, pitas and selection of garlic sauces has had to close down.
Montfort Mediterranean Grill, located at 777 Guelph Line, at was ordered to close its doors after Burlington Centre Mall owners terminated the tenancy.
“Please be advised that RK (Burlington Mall) Inc. hereby terminates the tenancy of the premises located at 777 Guelph Line in Burlington Ontario effective Aug. 16, 2021 for failure to comply with the requirements to pay rent under your lease agreement dated the 16th day of January 2018, (the “LEASE”),” read the notice of termination of lease posted next to the restaurant.
The Mediterranean restaurant has several locations across Burlington and Hamilton, including the Montfort Grill House – Mediterranean Cuisine at the Millcroft Shopping Centre on 2000 Appleby Line.
