The Province of Ontario will be operating a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Oakville this weekend that will be offering the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Halton residents 12 years of age and older.

Residents are now able to book appointments at this clinic through Halton’s online booking system.

“I would like to thank the Province, our local School Boards and Regional staff for your hard work and collaboration to offer more vaccination options for our residents,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr.

“We are making great progress on our vaccine rollout, with nearly 75 per cent of residents 12 years of age and older having received at least one dose. As we receive more supply from the Province, we will continue to open up more appointments to get everyone fully vaccinated in our community as quickly as possible.”

The pop-up clinic will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School, located at 124 Dorval Drive on Saturday, June 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Sunday, June 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, Halton Region will be opening its eighth community clinic at the YMCA of Oakville, located at 410 Rebecca St.

“These additional clinics are providing more options for residents to get their COVID-19 vaccine,” said Dr. Hamidah Meghani, Halton Region Medical Officer of Health.

“It is essential for everyone to get their first and second doses as soon as they can to gain protection from COVID-19 and variants of concern. The more residents that get vaccinated the closer we get to achieving community protection and getting back to normal. Let’s roll up our sleeves Halton!”
