A Barbie roller rink and cafe is coming to Toronto.
The Malibu Barbie Cafe, a pop-up roller rink and restaurant inspired by the iconic fashion doll, is opening in Toronto in August, Bucket Listers, a media experiences brand, said in a press release.
Bucket Listers has partnered with toy manufacturer and entertainment company Mattel, Inc. to create the experience.
The family-friendly pop-up restaurant and roller rink is inspired by the groovy beachside energy of 1970s Malibu, a time of carefree summer days when Malibu Barbie was first introduced to the world, Bucket Listers said.

The cafe opens Aug. 13 at 70 The Esplanade, at Church Street, and will feature a roller rink “worthy of every Barbie fan.” Guests can expect a fast-casual menu (created by Master Chef finalist and Chopped Champion Chef Becky Brown) emphasizing all-day friendly fare, desserts and a variety of drinks.
The pop-up will also have Barbie merchandise and interactive activities for fans to do in between trips around the rink.

Proceeds from each roller skate rental will be donated back to the cafe’s charity partner, Girls Inc.
Special events, such as cupcake decorating classes, paint parties and 21+ skate nights, will also be offered.
More than 250,000 Barbie fans have experienced the cafe across the United States and Australia.
“Bucket Listers is honoured to continue partnering with Mattel, bringing the Malibu Barbie Cafe north to Canada after ten sold-out runs across the United States and Australia,” said Bucket Listers CEO, Andy Lederman. “Barbie has proven to be one of history’s ultimate icons; it means so much for us to bring these exclusive and iconic experiences to life, now in our third country and counting. We cannot wait for fans to see what we have in store.”
Tickets for the restaurant (includes food and a merchandise credit) will be available through Bucket Listers.
Those interested can join the waitlist here to receive first notification of tickets going on sale. Ticket prices for Toronto will be announced when they go on sale. A ticket to the Boston cafe was $25 each.
