It seems that about seven in 10 fully-vaccinated Mississauga residents are planning on getting a COVID-19 booster shot.

An informal poll conducted by insauga.com on Instagram over 24 hours shows 71 per cent of those who responded plan to get the third jab in their arms as cases of the virus have surged in recent days.

The remaining 29 per cent said they do not intend to get a booster shot, despite the rise in cases and the growing presence of the new Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus.

The question posed to readers was simply: “Are you going to get the booster shot?”

In total, 1,370 people responded to the poll, with 974 saying yes to the booster shot while 396 said they’ll take a pass on a third shot.
