Nearly two-thirds of Mississauga residents who responded to an informal poll yesterday say they’ll keep wearing face masks despite the Ontario government’s go-ahead this week to take the face coverings off in most public settings.

The poll, conducted by insauga.com on Instagram over a 24-hour period, shows that 64 per cent of those who responded insist they will continue to mask up in indoor public places as they’ve been doing for the past two years since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, 36 per cent of respondents said they’ll ditch the face masks moving forward.

The question posed to readers was: Will you keep your masks on after March 21?

In total, 3,680 people responded to the poll, with 2,346 saying they’ll continue wearing masks and 1,334 saying the masks are coming off as of this week.
