Police were called for 332 assaults last month in Mississauga and Brampton

October was a busy month for Peel Regional Police, who had to investigate over 300 instances of assault in Mississauga and Brampton.

From Oct. 1 to 31, there were 147 assaults in Mississauga and 185 in Brampton, for a total of 332 across both cities.

Regarding the police investigations into these incidents, 268 are considered solved, 43 are ongoing, and 20 of these assaults are listed as “unsolved.”

Assaults continue to happen on a frequent basis in Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding areas.

Earlier this month, a Mississauga man was arrested after allegedly punching a man in the head and grabbing at the man’s children. The victim said the man was “obviously high at the time.”

Residents who have become the victim of any type of assault are advised to access Peel police’s Victim Services and Resources for help.
