Man wanted in Brampton shooting should not be approached, police warn

Police are asking the public for leads in locating a suspect following a shooting in Brampton two weeks ago.

Peel Regional Police say investigators are searching for a 36-year-old man who allegedly fired a gun at a residence in Brampton on Sept. 30.

Police say no one was injured in the shooting, but the suspect fled the area before officers arrived on the scene.

Anthony Deschepper, 36, of no fixed address, is wanted by police in relation to several firearms offences including discharge firearm, unauthorized possession of firearm and possession contrary to order.

Police say the wanted man could be in Milton and they’re warning people not to approach him if he’s spotted.

Deschepper is described as standing 5’8″ tall and weighing 150 lbs with a slim build. He has short brown hair, a short brown stubble beard and moustache. Police say the suspect has ties to Brampton as well as Milton, Orangeville, Tottenham and Arthur.

Police are asking the public for help locating Deschepper but say not to approach the suspect and call 911 immediately. A police spokesperson confirmed that the firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered by police.
