Technology helped police track down a missing transport truck.

A transport truck was reported stolen from Milton, OPP said in a tweet on Nov. 14 at 2:34 p.m.

The trucking company provided Mississauga OPP with “real-time updates” using a GPS tracker as the truck travelled across Hwy. 401 from Milton to Mississauga, police said.

The police caught up with the driver on Hwy. 401 at Mississauga Road, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told insauga.com.

The investigation is ongoing with theft charges pending for a Brampton driver, Schmidt added.
