Nine years later, police continue search for missing Oakville man

Halton Regional Police continue to ask for the public’s help in locating a 50-year-old Oakville man who was last seen at work almost nine years ago.

Janis Ozollapa (pictured below) was last seen leaving at his workplace on Weeping Willow Dr. at 2 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2014.

He left work in a 2002 black Chevrolet Avalanche with a personalized licence plate ‘OZOLLAPA’.

Police would later recover the vehicle shortly after noon on Oct. 10, 2014 in a parking lost behind a business at at 157 Cross Avenue, opposite the Oakville GO station.

Ozollapa is described as white male, six-feet tall and 170 pounds with a medium build. He is bald with a goatee and speaks with a heavy Latvian accent.

Ozollapa was wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans and brown Crocs, while carrying a black laptop briefcase.
