Police seize loaded gun and drugs, Brampton man charged

A Brampton man is facing firearm and drug-related charges following a recent police investigation.

On Saturday, June 22, Peel Regional Police officers investigated a person in a vehicle in the area of Kennedy Road and Clarence Street in Brampton.

“As a result of this investigation, a loaded EAA Windicator .357 Magnum revolver, ammunition and illicit drugs were located and seized,” said police.

Brampton man Shailendra Sanichar, 30, faces multiple charges including unauthorized possession of firearm and possession of a controlled substance.

He was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
