Police seize drugs, arrest six including four minors at Whitby motel

Six people, four of whom are minors, have been charged with a variety of trafficking charges following an investigation at a Whitby motel.

Officers were called to the Consumers Drive Motel 6 on Sunday, January 30 after reports of a gun on the premises. On arrival, police found a car leaving the motel.

They investigated the vehicle and found cocaine, cannabis, psilocybin and methamphetamine. Executing a search warrant, they also found a fake gun.

Aidan St-John, 20 of Oshawa was charged with possession for use in production or distribution of illicit cannabis, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.

Cameron Brown, 18 of Peterborough, was charged with possession of other schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking.

A 17-year-old and a 15-year old, both of Oshawa were charged with possession of other schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking.

A 14-year-old of Oshawa was charged with possession for use in production or distribution of illicit cannabis, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possessing other schedule three substance.

Finally, a 14-year-old of Clarington, was charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling, two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and carrying a concealed weapon.
