Police seeking assistance to identify suspect involved in Burlington restaurant incident

Halton police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in an incident that occurred at a Burlington restaurant.

Police say on Friday April 16, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a male suspect attended Applestone Pizzeria, located at 1900 Appleby Line in Burlington.

According to police, the suspect ordered buffalo wings, used a counterfeit Canadian $100 bill to pay and received a balance of $86.50 of real money.

The suspect immediately left the pizzeria once he got his balance, police say.

According to police, the suspect is described as male, Middle Eastern, between 20-30 years of age, between 5’8 – 5’10 and weighing between 150 lbs and 180 lbs.

Police say the offence is for uttering counterfeit money.
