Peel Regional Police is after evidence and witnesses to a large fight in Brampton in the wee hours of yesterday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m. August 28, a large fight involving numerous people broke out at Mclaughlin Rd and Steeles Ave W, home to Sheridan College, a shopping and restaurant plaza and suburban homes.

The brawl involved numerous weapons and several people suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police know of one video floating around on social media. The video, on Youtube, shows a large group of men standing around in a parking lot with a Tim Hortons in the background.

One of the men, wearing a turban, a plaid shirt and dark pants is seen lifting what appears to be a sword over his head and bringing it down on a man in the crowd.

Another man is seen seemingly trying to leave before he is approached from behind a third man wearing a white shirt who strikes him from behind.

The third man then falls to the ground and is stomped on by another in the crowd. A man in a white shirt who seems staggered and stumbling then also falls to the ground and is beaten by several men around him.

The video suddenly cuts out while the men continue to batter each other.

Anyone with information or video footage of the altercation can call Peel Police at (905) 453–2121, ext. 2233 or CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
