Police seek suspect who robbed Port Colborne convenience store with a hammer

Niagara Police are hunting for a hammer-wielding man who robbed a Port Colborne 7-11 convenience store late last night (May 10).

The man came into the store at 111 Clarence St. just past 11 pm and smashed a glass case with the hammer while demanding money.

The employees, none of whom were hurt, gave his an undisclosed amount of cash and he quickly took off on foot, heading east.

Niagara Police brought in the K9 Unit but weren’t able to track him.

The man (see above and below) is described as a white male, 5-foot-10, roughly 180 pounds with medium build, brown eyes and bushy eyebrows. He was wearing a green shirt covering his face, a blue hoodie and black pants.
