Police seek public’s assistance in locating Brampton shooting suspects

Peel Regional Police are seeking public assistance in locating suspects involved in a shooting that killed a man last weekend(July 22) in Brampton.

30-year-old Anthony Putzu was shot and killed on Saturday at St. Roch Catholic School.

Investigators have now identified the vehicle involved in this incident as a 2023 Black Nissan Murano with Ontario license plate CYJS 166, with damage to the driver’s side.

This vehicle was located burned, in the 8th Line and Britannia Rd area in Milton on the morning of July 23.

Authorities say that there were three suspects believed to be associated with the car.

“In between July 22 at 9:30 p.m. and July 23 at 8:00 a.m., it is possible they attended a gas station to buy gas and a gas can in the Peel or Halton Region,” Peel Regional Police said in their statement.

As the investigation is ongoing, police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the specified area and timeframe to contact police at 905-453-2121 extension 3205 or Crimestoppers.
