Police seek mugger who stabbed a victim in Whitby

Police are on the hunt for the mugger after he demanded cash from a 54-year-old man before stabbing him in Whitby on Monday.

Police were called to the Kendalwood Road and Dundas Street area at quarter to five on November 8, after reports of a stabbing. When they arrived they found the victim suffering non life-threatening wounds. The victim was first taken to local hospital before being transported to a Toronto trauma centre.

Police searched the area, but found no trace of the suspect, who they describe as white, around 25-years-old, 5’11”, with a slender build and short brown hair. He was wearing a black medical mask, blue jeans and a grey hoodie. Police say he appeared “unkempt.”
