UPDATED: Police Seek Assistance Locating Missing Male

Peel Regional Police have reported a 54-year-old man who is visiting Canada is missing as of last night.

Voja Maksimovic was last seen around 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at a family’s residence near Cawthra Road and South Service Road in Mississauga.

Maksimovic is visiting from Serbia and doesn’t speak any English. His family says he requires medication, doesn’t have it with him, and is unfamiliar with the area.

He is male, white, medium build, 5’10 and walks with a slight limp. He was last seen wearing a grey track suit and black whoes with neon laces.

Police are currently conducting a region-wide search for Maksimovic and are asking the assistance of citizens and partners in the GTA to check local businesses and park areas for the missing party. 

Police are also asking citizens to check their personal property, backyards and sheds for the missing male and are requested to be extra vigilant and observant during their daily activities.  Please inspect areas that could conceal a person who may be in distress.
