Police Searching for Missing 19-Year-Old Mississauga Woman

Peel police are appealing to the public for help in locating a missing 19-year-old Mississauga woman.

Shaelyn Mercer was last seen on Sunday, Jan. 22 at her home in the Burnhamthorpe and Dixie Road area.

Mercer is described as a white female who is 5’6” and 240 pounds. She has a heavy build and a shaved head and was last seen wearing a black Toronto Raptors sweater with gold writing, red pants and headphones.

Family and police are concerned for her safety.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shaelyn Mercer is asked to call investigators at the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 1233. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca or by sending a text message to CRIMES (274637) with the word “PEEL” and then your tip.

Police have not yet provided a picture of Mercer.
