Police searching for man who allegedly broke into multiple homes in Grimsby

Police are searching for a suspect in connection with at least four break-ins in Grimsby.
Niagara police allege that between midnight and 5 a.m. on Sept. 7, a lone male suspect entered several homes in the Main Street East and Park Road South area. Police say the suspect sought out unlocked windows and doors and, in some cases, cut screens to enter a home through a window.
Police say the suspect looked for valuables with a flashlight while the residents slept.
Officers allege the suspect stole and then abandoned a car in the Elizabeth Street and Carnegie Lane area.
He is believed to have stolen cash and electronics.
Police say he’s described as a white male with a slender build who was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a mask.
