Durham Regional Police are appealing for any witnesses in the stabbing death of a man in Oshawa Tuesday morning.
Police held a media scrum near the murder scene on Park Road, just north of John Street, at 10:30 Tuesday morning where Staff Sgt. Joanne McCabe said locating the suspect is their “number one priority.”
The victim – police are still trying to determine his identity – was found by a passer-by at 4:15 this morning outside a residence on Park Road in “obvious signs of trauma.”
He had been stabbed multiple times, police said.

The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation is centred around the Park Road home where the victim was found that McCabe confirmed is connected to the homicide.
There is no suspect information at this time but McCabe said they do not believe there is any risk to public safety.
Police are now canvassing the area are appealing to residents to reach out to the homicide unit at (905) 579-1520 ext 5319 with any information or video footage they have.
Park Road is currently closed north of John Street and will remain shut down for several hours for the investigation.
