Police search for missing woman last seen in Brampton

Police are asking members of the public to help find a woman last seen in the early-morning hours in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police say Pat, 56, was last seen on Tuesday around 2 a.m. in the area of Mulgrave Street in Brampton.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen Pat to come forward.

Peel police say Pat is described as a 56-year-old female with a large build. She has grey hair in braids and was last seen wearing a black top and black pants. Pat was also carrying a black suitcase with a black carry-on bag and a brown purse.

Anyone who has seen Pat or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Peel Regional Police by calling 905-453-3311. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.

When you contact Crime Stoppers you stay anonymous, never have to testify, and could receive a $2,000 reward.

Peel police and law enforcement agencies across Ontario have stopped releasing the last name of missing persons in recent years due to concerns that the information will make individuals vulnerable to future online searches.

When deemed necessary by investigators, they will release surnames of missing persons as well, police said earlier.

Peel police numbers show they investigate up 2,000 missing persons cases each year. In 2024, Peel police reported 2,009 missing persons incidents across Mississauga and Brampton, up from 1,893 in 2023. There is no requirement to wait 24 hours to report someone missing.
