UPDATE: Police search for missing Hamilton man with dementia

UPDATE: Roger Bissonnette has been found in good health. He was located under the Queenston Bridge at the Red Hill Valley Parkway and is receiving care from paramedics.


Hamilton Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a missing 71-year-old Hamilton man with dementia.

Roger Bissonnette was last seen walking westbound away from his home on Armstrong Ave. at approximately 9 p.m. on July 22.

He is described as an elderly white man, 5-foot-7, 140 lbs, with a slim build and short silver and black hair.

Bissonnette is believed to be wearing a baseball cap, a golf shirt, joggers, and Sketchers running shoes, all black.

He is an avid walker and is known to frequent the streets and neighbourhood around his home for his walks.

Bissonnette is non-verbal and suffers from early onset dementia.

Members of his family are very concerned for his wellbeing.

Police ask residents on Armstrong Avenue and the surrounding area to check their properties including any outbuildings they may have.
