Police responding to man running around intersection with knife in Mississauga

Police are on scene for a weapon incident in the Malton area of Mississauga this evening (Oct. 3).
It was reported at 8:41 p.m. that a man with a knife is running around the intersection of Darcel Ave and Etude Dr, north of Derry at Goreway.
Police say the man is approaching people with the knife in his hand. No attacks or injuries have been reported at this time.
He’s described as a South Asian male in his 30s with a thin build, 5’10” tall, and wearing a grey hat, red t-shirt and dark pants.
Police are asking residents to avoid the area, and anyone who sees the man is advised to keep their distance and call 911.
