Police responding for male armed with knife on train in Burlington

One person has been taken into custody following a weapons incident in Burlington today (Mar. 27).

Halton Police and GO Transit security responded to reports of a male in possession of a knife on a train at Burlington’s Aldershot GO station.

No injuries were reported and all passengers were safely removed from the train.

Police say the male has been taken into custody and don’t believe there is any immediate risk to public safety.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
