Police responding after vehicle drives into Credit River in Brampton

Police are on scene for a vehicle accident in Brampton this afternoon (Dec. 12).

It was reported at 12:25 p.m. that a vehicle had driven into the Credit River in the area of Heritage and Embleton Road.

“Occupants are out of vehicle and speaking with officers,” said police.

No injuries were reported.

UPDATE: 

Police say the vehicle remains stuck on the edge of the river and could not be removed by heavy tow due to unsafe water conditions.

Brampton by-law has attended and laid charges against the operator of vehicle.

Attempts to remove the vehicle will resume on Monday morning.
