Police report man luring children.

Police in Waterloo are warning residents to be vigilant following reports that a person was allegedly seen attempting to lure children with candy.

Waterloo Regional Police said that around 5 p.m. on Feb. 26, an unknown male was seen approaching children in the Keats Way and Brynhurst Boulevard area. 

The suspect was allegedly seen engaging with children by telling them he had candy. Witnesses then reported that the suspect was seen following the children after they attempted to leave the vicinity. 

Official police reports indicate that no injuries were sustained during the incident. 

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 60 and 70 with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black jeans and a green jacket. He was reportedly seen walking with a cane at the time of the incident.
