Police released pictures of suspects, getaway vehicle in Niagara Falls bank robbery

Niagara Police have now released pictures of two suspects and the getaway van in the armed robbery of a Niagara Falls back on Feb. 23.

On that day at 8 pm, police were called to the Meridian Credit Union (4780 Portage Road) after the robbery. They were told two male suspects came into the bank, one with a handgun, and demanded cash from the employees.

They got an undisclosed amount of Canadian cash but fortunately, no employees were hurt or injured.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 50 years old, 6-foot-even with slim build wearing a black mask, a black jacket, black gloves, dark grey pants and black shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 30 years old, 5-foot-9 with a medium build, wearing a mask, a grey hooded sweatshirt with “BARRIE” on the left chest and a maple leaf logo underneath, black pants and burgundy shoes.

The police believe the suspects took off in a white Dodge Caravan with stolen licence plates. See photos below.

The Meridian Bank is offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.
