Police release images of suspects in targeted east Hamilton shooting

Hamilton Police have released images of suspects believed to have been involved in a targeted shooting that happened earlier this week in east Hamilton in the hopes of learning their identity.

On Monday (April 18), police were called to 44 Martha Street shortly after 3:30 a.m. to reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found bullet holes on a home in the area and one minor injury was reported and was found to be the result of broken glass.

Police believe the incident was targeted.

Detectives from the Hamilton Police Service’s Division Two Criminal Investigations Branch have taken over the investigation and are urging residents in the area of Martha Street to check their security camera footage from the day in question between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m.

They are also asking anyone who may have been driving in the area around the time of the shooting to check dashcam footage.
