Police raid ends with charges for 2 accused thieves including man from Brampton

An investigation into theft suspects in Orangeville has led to theft charges for a pair of men including one from Brampton.

The raid happened on Thursday when the OPP says officers from the Dufferin Detachment searched a property on Centennial Road in the Town of Orangeville.

Police say the search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation but did not disclose what led officers to the property.

The search has led police to lay a charge against a 42-year-old from Brampton and a 31-year-old from Orangeville.

Kuldeep Otal, 42, of Brampton and Jasvir Khabra, 31, of Orangeville have each been charged with one count of theft over $5,000.

The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date to answer the charges.
