Peel Regional Police say a sleepy crook came face-to-face with a furry alarm clock after a break-and-enter on Monday morning.
Shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Monday, police say a man broke into a Mississauga business by causing damage to the property.
After pocketing some items, police say the man decided “to take a nap on the office couch.”
The post-break-in nap didn’t last long, as police arrived on scene with members of the Peel Police K9 Unit, including a police pooch named Murphy.
The man was taken into custody and police say he has been charged.
Police have yet to release the man’s name.
Come on in, make yourself comfortable.
