Police on scene for dangerous weapon investigation in Mississauga

There’s a heavy police presence in Mississauga this morning.

Police were called at 9:14 a.m. for a dangerous weapon report in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road East and Cawthra Road.

More details to come as the investigation proceeds.

Residents may want to avoid the area until further notice.

UPDATE:

Police say there are three victims. One was taken to a local hospital and two were taken to a trauma centre with unknown injuries.

One person has been taken into custody and police are continuing to secure the area.

The type of weapon and details of the incident have not yet been disclosed by police.
