Update: Police search for person of interest after attempted theft in Caledon

Police are asking the public to help locate a person of interest following an attempted theft in Caledon this morning (Sept. 29).

The Caledon OPP said around 9 a.m. on Friday that police had been called to the area of Marilyn Street and Miles Drive in Caledon for reports of an attempted theft.

Police were on the scene and said residents can expect an increased Police presence in the area while officers are investigating.

A spokesperson for the OPP said on X (formerly Twitter) that there is no concern for public safety, and police have released an image from a CCTV camera of a person of interest in this case.

The image shows a shirtless man wearing dark-coloured pants with dark hair riding a bicycle.
