Police offering $50K reward for information on Georgetown murder

Halton police are offering a $50,000 reward for information on a murder that took place in Georgetown.

“We are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) responsible,” said Halton police on Twitter.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 36-year-old Ryan Lorde was shot and killed outside of his home in the area of Monarch Drive and Niagara Trail in Georgetown.

No suspect(s) have been identified despite an investigation and previous appeals for information.

Investigators believe that the vehicle related to the shooting is a black, 2007 – 2009, four-door sedan.

Police say the vehicle is possibly a Toyota Camry or similar make or model and was possibly rented, stolen or loaned at the time of the murder.
