A driver racing through an Oakville neighbourhood on Thursday will be without their licence for the next few weeks.

Halton Regional Police clocked an SUV going 109 km/h on Neyagawa Blvd. between Dundas St. and Upper Middle Rd.

The driver has been charged with stunt driving and speeding.

“This is an area busy with families walking, cyclists, workers and citizens commuting,” Halton police said in a tweet.

The driver has had their vehicle impounded for 14 days and will lose their licence for 30 days.

“There is no place for highway speeds on our roads,” added Halton police.
