Police Looking for Witnesses Following Alleged Dog Attack in Mississauga

Police are looking for witnesses following an alleged dog attack in Mississauga.

Peel police say a young child was reportedly attacked by a dog in the Eglinton and 403 area between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. 

Police allege a black and white husky was involved in the incident. 

Anyone who might have witnessed the incident is asked to contact police at 905-453-3311 ext 1233.


UPDATE: The incident occurred in a leash-free dog park, police say.

The child was first transported to a local hospital but later taken to a Toronto hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.
