Police looking for suspect following hate-motivated assault in Hamilton

Hamilton police are looking for one outstanding suspect wanted in connection with a recent hate-motivated assault that occurred on Sunday (June 4) on Stoney Creek Mountain.

Police say the assault took place between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. near the Heritage Green Shopping Center (1797 Stone Church Road East).

Police allege three male suspects assaulted two individuals before escaping in a black Honda Civic.

An ongoing investigation led to the vehicle being located and the subsequent arrest of two of the suspects, who now await their court appearance.

Authorities are urging anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or may have witnessed the assault to come forward with any information that could aid their investigation.
