Police looking for more victims after human trafficking incident at Mississauga hotel

A 28 year-old London man is facing human trafficking charges and police want to ensure there are no other victims.

In May 2021, Durham Regional Police’s Human Trafficking Unit started an investigation after a victim came forward stating she was trafficked at a Mississauga hotel. The victim met the accused through a mutual friend and he began trafficking the victim for sexual services.

Investigators were able to identify the accused and he was subsequently arrested.

Trekar Blake is charged with Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control and Receiving Material Benefit. He was held for a bail hearing.
