A man from Whitby has been declared missing after he was last seen on November 1.

Ali Chitan, 38, walked out of Ontario Shores Centre of Mental Health more than two weeks ago and was last seen walking up Gordon Street toward Victoria Street.

The time since his last sighting and a lack of communication to family and friends has police concerned for his well-being.

Police describe Chitan as a male, West Asian with black hair and a beard. He was wearing brown sweat pants with holes in the knees and a black hoodie.

Anyone who may have information of Chitan’s whereabouts can call Durham Region Police at 1-888-579-1520. People in other regions are asked to contact their local police service.
