Police looking for five armed suspects after Oshawa home invasion

Durham Police are searching for five suspects after an armed home invasion in Oshawa Thursday night that left one victim with a broken leg after he tried to escape out a second-storey window and two others with minor injuries.

East Division officers responded to the home invasion at approximately 11 p.m.to learn that five masked suspects – all dressed in black with black bandanas covering their faces – had forcibly entered a home on Greenhill Avenue near Harmony Road in north Oshawa.

All five suspects were armed with handguns.

The suspects sprayed an irritant in the home and attempted to tie the victims up. During the robbery, one victim managed to escape from a second-floor window but broke his leg in the attempt.

The other victims, a man and woman, suffered minor injuries.

The suspects stole a cell phone and fled in a vehicle just before police arrived. Investigators believe this was a targeted incident

Two of the five male suspects are described as Black, one as Middle Eastern and two as White.
