Police look to ID suspect who reportedly robbed Hamilton food market of more than $1,700 in produce

Hamilton Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in connection to a brazen robbery at a food market in the city’s west end in June.

Police said in a press release issued Tuesday (Oct. 5) that the incident in question happened on June 3 at approximately 12 p.m. when a man entered the Kosher Meats at 889 King St W.

The suspect is said to have entered a large walk-in freezer and then filled a garbage can with produce before fleeing the scene on foot.

It’s estimated that the suspect got away with approximately $1,700 to $1,800 worth of inventory.

Hamilton Police said their Break Enter and Robbery Unit has since assumed carriage of the investigation and they have released an image of the suspect in the hopes of learning his identity.
