A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued by York Regional Police for a Montreal man who took an alleged ride through a Vaughan shopping mall with a stolen car that was later found abandoned in Oakville.

Police, who released surveillance footage of the incident, say it happened around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The footage shows a 2011 Black Audi A4 going thorough a closed entrance at Vaughan Mills at a high rate of speed and then going through hallways inside the shopping mall.

Police then explained that the vehicle stopped at an electronics store inside and stole a number of items, before getting back in the car and out another mall entrance.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen from a woman in Quebec.

The Black Audi was eventually found abandoned near James Snow Parkway and Highway 401 in Oakville.

On Thursday (Feb. 9), police identified 19-year-old Israel Muamba as one of the suspects. They are still working to identify a second suspect.

Muamba (pictured below) is wanted on six charges, including theft over $5,000 and dangerous driving.

“He is encouraged to seek legal counsel and turn himself in,” police said in a press release. “Investigators are reminding the public that anyone who is, or has, assisted the suspect may be subject to criminal charges.” ”

Police describe Muamba as a Black male, about six-foot-three and 150 lbs.
