Police hunt for suspect after Brampton woman shot in head

Peel Regional Police have released the identity of a man wanted in the shooting of a Brampton woman Monday afternoon.

Isaiah Bachoo, 19, of no fixed address is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him is asked to call 9-1-1 and keep their distance. A warrant for his arrest for numerous firearm-related offences has been issued.

The plea for the public’s help comes after a shooting in the basement of a residence near Ardglen Dr. and Wilton Dr.

Three people were gathered when a firearm was discharged by a male suspect, striking a 20-year-old woman in the head. An 18-year-old man also there was uninjured.

The woman was transported to hospital and her injuries are still considered life-threatening.

The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction.
